One payment, and what it covers
- The application
- A desktop app for Mac and Windows. It runs from a SQLite file on your own disk. A Solo licence covers two of your own devices, one in use at a time.
- Every 1.x update
- Bug fixes and improvements within version 1 are included. A version 2, if there ever is one, may be a separate purchase. The licence says so in section 6, and this page says so too.
- Your data
- Records live in a SQLite database on your computer. Export to JSON or CSV works at any time: after the trial, with an expired licence, and offline.
- AI, on your terms
- Run Ollama on your own machine for nothing. Or bring your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key and pay that provider at its rates; Vrge adds no markup. Neither needs anything from us after the purchase.
- Every source
- Email, calendar, files, bank and QuickBooks are all in the licence, with as many accounts of each as you connect. Bank feeds through Plaid cost us a fee per connected account each month. That is priced into the licence, not billed to you.

Launch pricing through November 2, 2026. The struck-through figure is the regular price and applies after that. Team tiers add a server you run yourself; the tiers are seat counts, not feature gates.
What still costs money each month
- Vrge Managed AI, if you choose itFrom $10 a month. If you would rather not hold an API key, we run the model calls for you. It recurs because the model provider bills us for every call, every month. Hard token quota, no overage: when it runs out, the app falls back to your own key or Ollama. Cancel in one click; access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Vrge Cloud Backup, if you choose it$6 a month. A hosted copy of your encrypted backups. It recurs because we pay for the storage every month. The same backup engine writes to a folder you choose, including a Dropbox or iCloud sync folder, for nothing. If you stop paying, what is already stored stays yours to download.
- Your own AI provider, if you use oneA cloud key is billed to you by Anthropic, OpenAI or Google at their rates, for what you use. Vrge takes nothing. Ollama costs nothing.
- A future major versionVersion 1 updates are included. A version 2 may be a separate purchase. We would rather say so here than surprise you later.
The rule we price by
A one-time fee pays for the software. A subscription pays for something that costs us every month on your behalf: model inference, or storage. The two optional services recur for that reason and no other, and nothing that costs us once is sold on a subscription.
There is no overage, no usage tier that unlocks a feature, and no part of the base app that needs either subscription. If you never buy one, the app is the same app.
