Vrge

A CRM without data entry

Vrge watches the email, calendar, files and bank accounts you already use and proposes the clients, projects, tasks, invoices and expenses it finds there. You approve each one in an Inbox: nothing is saved until you do, and you can undo an approval for 24 hours.

14-day free trial, no account, no card. Mac and Windows.

The loop

How it fills itself in

It reads
Gmail, Outlook and IMAP mail. Google, Outlook, CalDAV and .ics calendars. A folder on your machine, which can be a Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive sync folder. Plaid, Stripe, Square or a CSV statement. QuickBooks Online invoices and customers. All read-only: it never sends, moves or edits anything.
It proposes, from evidence
An extractor needs a concrete signal, such as a sender’s domain, a calendar organiser or a bank category, before it proposes a record. Where there is no such signal it skips rather than guesses. Only email goes through a language model; bank, calendar, file and accounting records are read structurally, without one.
You approve
Each card in the Inbox shows a confidence score, a one-sentence explanation and the evidence behind it: the email, event or transaction. Accept it, edit it first, or reject it. Related records arrive as one bundle, a client with its project and tasks, and are approved together.
Nothing is saved until then
The applier is the only path from a proposal into your database. It runs when you press Approve, or when a rule you created yourself has already made that call for a bank payment or card expense. One transaction per bundle: everything lands or nothing does.
Undo for 24 hours
One click reverts the whole bundle. If you have since added records of your own on top of it, Vrge refuses and says what is in the way.
Every record keeps its origin
Which source event, which extractor, which model, what confidence. A record you typed yourself says manual. Ask any record where it came from.
Open Loops need no AI
Replies owed, replies awaited, invoices past due: derived from what Vrge observed, and closed by recomputation when reality changes.

The honest part

Where it falls short

  • It guesses, with a scoreA proposal is an inference. A confidence score is an estimate of how often proposals like this one turn out right, not a verdict on this one. Read the evidence. Vrge raises the bar for kinds of proposal you keep rejecting, and tells you what it held back and why.
  • It is quiet at firstA newly connected source is held to a higher bar for its first seven days, and the Inbox is capped at fifty proposals a day by default; beyond that, a digest. A sparse first week is the design, not a fault.
  • It only sees what is written downA phone call, a handshake, a brief on paper: nothing to read, nothing proposed. You type those, as you always did; every record has a manual path. Email attachments are not read either. An invoice that arrives as a PDF with a two-line body is, to Vrge, a two-line email.
  • Email goes to a modelWith Ollama, nothing leaves your machine. With your own Anthropic, OpenAI or Google key, full content goes to your own provider account by default; you can dial it down to redacted modes and preview what the mode in force would send. Through Managed AI, content is always redacted before it reaches us.
  • It reads; it does not write backVrge never sends mail from your account, moves a file or pushes an invoice into QuickBooks. If you want a CRM that acts on your behalf, this is not it.

Why approval is the design

One invented client would cost more trust than a hundred correct proposals earn, so the pipeline is built to under-propose. Nothing writes to your records without your say. Every approval can be reversed for a day.

When a proposal is wrong there is a Report bad proposal button with a reason: made up, wrong client, wrong amount, duplicate, something else. The mistake is recorded rather than shrugged off, and it counts against the bar for that kind of proposal.
